We advised a CEO on the termination of his employment via a settlement agreement. This was complicated as he was not simply an employee but an ‘employee shareholder’ which meant that the settlement agreement was accompanied by a simultaneous execution of a transfer of his shares, advice on tax considerations in relation to the shareholding as well as to the settlement sums.
